After guiding for trout for 15 years you come to realize how consitant the fisheries can be. 2017 was our 10th season operating Frontier Farwest and it is evident that one thing is for sure, there is no consistency to steelhead. They seem to show up early, or late or some year not at all. The weather is either too hot, to dry, to wet or too cold. Rarely is there ever even a week that goes by where people say we got the perfect conditions. 2017 expemplied this 10 fold. Here are some highlights and lowlights.
