On the heels of our extremely popular canyon tent camp program, Bulkley Basecamp was born 5 years ago. Cherry picking the best aspects of the previous endeavor, we sought to take a remote fishery and make more accessible to the angler. Easier to get to, far more comfortable, access to even more water and with that wild feeling, this truly the best fit model.

Every evening guests will return to their luxury wall tent. The clean and spacious canvas, cedar framed entry and with the wood stove already blazing this isn't the kind of camping you did in your youth. Beds with heavy frames and comfortable mattresses are topped with warm plush blankets and fresh pillows. Each cabin has bright warm lighting, a desk to sit and record your days plunder and even dressers to organize your belongings. This is also the perfect place to hang and dry your waders and boots in the bubbling heat. If you like it fresh the tents have excellent ventilation also. But I have a CPAP machine? No problem! Let us know and we happily arrange power to your tent for the best night sleep.
Now that you're done all that what's left. Relax on your porch, sip a scotch, take in the view and prepare for another action filled day tomorrow.

The camp has 2 outhouses and 2 showers paired on either side of the camp. Both constructed with cedar and clear views of the sky these are just another touch in your glamping experience. Piping hot bath houses with cascading rainshower heads, this is just the type of freshening reset you need after a day of "work."
The common area of the camp sits creek side with faint sound cascading water echoing in the background. Here all nestled around the stone fire pit are the guts of the operation. on the east side of the camp is the bar, an original cabin on stilts, renovated to become the new watering hole. The perfect spot to pour a drink, adjust the music or take in the valley views it's complete with comfortable patio furniture, heaters, patio lighting and even all the reading material an angler could indulge. Opposite the bar and passed the garden beds, sits the dining patio with deck table for those warm September evenings eating in the setting sun of September. For those brisk evenings the meals move inside to the heated luxury of our spacious safari style tent dining room. Here, alongside the kitchen is the perfect place to melt into chair with a glass of wine and amazing food.

Fine Dining
When operating from a tent camp our mission is to hear you say "that's hardly camping" or use the word "glamping" to sum up your stay. This depends completely on our ability to cover every aspect of the trip imaginable. Food is something we take very seriously and from hiring the finest chefs to maintaining the most quality ingredients, we just want this to be another arrow in our quiver (or fly in our box).
The days begin with strong coffee and gourmet breakfast around the table. Omelettes, eggs benedict, classic American breakfasts are all staples cooked perfectly to your order and accompanied by fresh bread, baked muffins, fruit, juice and did I mention strong coffee?
As we set out on the river your guide will bring snacks, fruit, a lunch consisting of a salad or sandwich, soup on those cold days, tea, soda of your choice and of course strong coffee.
Returning in the evenings to freshly prepared appetizers in the bar you can relax while the talented team prepares first-class dinner. With a deluxe salad to start regular feasts include bbq ribs, sablefish with polenta, pork tenderloin, Thai chicken saute, rib eyes and even leg of lamb. Entries are always served with fresh cooked veggies and basecamp is proud to purchase locally whenever ingredients are available.
